| Ensuring Regulatory Compliance of Food Processors (Webinar length: 1hr 50min) Overview: This webinar will outline proactive measures that food processors can use to comply with FDA regulatory requirements and be audit-ready all of the time, not only when an inspection or audit is expected. FDA inspections are usually unannounced, so the better a company is prepared, the more likely it can ensure regulatory compliance. This webinar will focus on FDA regulatory requirements covering processing, packing and holding of the following categories of high risk foods: Low Acid Canned Foods (conventional retorting and aseptic processing), Acidified Foods, Juice, and facilities producing low moisture Ready-to-Eat (RTE) foods under the new FSMA proposed preventative controls regulations . A distinction will be made between traditional HACCP and HARPC. What FDA investigators look for during inspections of these food categories and what food facilities should do to prepare for FDA inspections will be covered. Additional FDA regulatory requirements enhanced by FSMA or created since 2009 that all food facilities should know about will also be covered. Areas Covered in the Session: How to get audit-Ready How to ensure regulatory compliance during FDA inspections Conducting a Hazard Analysis Developing and implementing HACCP Plans Developing and implementing Food Safety Plans HACCP vs. HARPC under FSMA’s proposed preventative controls What FDA investigators look for during inspections Environmental Sampling End product testing Ensuring the supply chain is safe Taking prompt corrective action when violations are found New and enhanced FDA authorities Who will benefit: Plant managers Quality control managers and employees Quality assurance managers and employees Production managers and employees Microbiologists Scientists Importers/exporters Raw materials and ingredient manufacturers Consultants Presenter–Brian Hendrickson: Mr. Hendrickson is a retired FDA National Food Expert with more than 35 years experience with the agency.
